Rooted in observation and user insight, this project demonstrates how intentional design can respond to real challenges and support meaningful participation.
Jig-based aquatic testing enabled controlled evaluation of the prototypes performance in simulated conditions, informing iterative design refinement.

Growing up alongside an amputee mother with a passion for swimming inspired this project. Combining additive manufacturing with iterative testing, the final prototype aims to restore the natural swimming motion and improve aquatic mobility for lower-limb amputees. The project has increased my passion in designing adaptive technologies that enable greater participation in sport and recreation, for our communities.
