Fashion Design
In globalized fashion design practices, cultural misunderstandings, disrespectful or inappropriate use of cultural elements, and copying without cultural meaning remain widespread. These forms of cultural alienation obscure the social context, emotional depth, and spiritual essence embedded in cultural objects, further marginalizing the communities connected to them.
To respond to these challenges, I have developed a method grounded in pluriversal thinking, emphasizing contextual and situated realities. I argue that building a good relationship with culture in fashion design requires engaging with the emotional dimensions of culture. Good relationship foucing on the three pathways of Understanding, Connections, and Acknowledgement. The tiger head shoe from Shanxi became the key fouce of my prectice space of my research.
