Being mean to books in order to find out the meaning of books explores my own relationship with books, and their position within my practice. Through a series of arguably biblio-criminal interventions, I broke the unspoken rules that govern our interactions with books and tested the limits of my own habits. Through increasingly mean acts, books further revealed their meaning as objects and the ideas and ideals that they have come to represent socially.
